Abstract

Based on the study of archival materials and special literature, the article provides data on the participation of the Voronezh Church Historical and Archaeological Committee in the All-Russian Archaeological Congresses. The composition of delegates, topics, quality of messages are analyzed. The role of the All-Russian archaeological congresses in the formation and development of historical local history in Voronezh is revealed. The author emphasizes that the XII-th All-Russian Archaeological Congress in Kharkov had a special influence on the activation of lovers of church antiquity. The influence of the committee representation on the formation and development of historical local history is revealed. The author comes to the conclusion about the influence of scientific communication on the expansion of research activities in the province, the development of the scientific and creative potential of its subjects.
