The article is devoted to the process of the activity of the Russian naval intelligence in Japan during the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905. The article deals with the problems that prevented Russian naval intelligence from continuing to work on the Japanese islands during the fighting. Not the least role in the circumstances was played by the Japanese counterintelligence, which was vigilantly watching for possible spies. At the same time, Russian counterintelligence in the Far Eastern region has shown its ineffectiveness. Information about the confrontation between Japanese and Russian naval intelligence is given. The reasons for the lag of the Russian naval intelligence from the Japanese colleagues are investigated. The prerequisites for successful professional results of Japanese scouts in the early twentieth century are analyzed. The author traces the relationship between the state policy of the Russian Empire and the formation of Russian naval intelligence in the Far East. The author studies the history of Russian intelligence and the Russian Imperial Navy in the early twentieth century. In addition, the operations of Japanese military intelligence officers are considered, such as: agitation among the small peoples of Siberia against the Russian government and the organization of an uprising of Macedonian revolutionaries in the Balkans with the aim of subsequently diverting the Russian army to the problems of this region. The most successful operation of the Japanese side was the creation of detachments of Hunghuz or Chinese bandits with enemy officers at the head of the rear of the Russian troops in Manchuria.

This article is devoted to the morphology of modern Russian society. The relevance and significance of the problems of the analysis of structures for the social philosophy of the present day is proved. In the logic of the deterministic approach, the recent changes in the Russian society are studied. The contribution of Russian classics to the development of geopolitical determinism is noted. A comprehensive analysis of the influence of geographical factors on the features of the morphology of modern Russian society is carried out. Internal and external processes that threaten the integrity of the Russian Federation are shown. The significance of the formation of the concept of national security of the country is given. The author of the article focuses on how institutional transformations have an impact on the political life of the country. It is proved that it is impossible to implement state development along a pure democratic path and, as a result, the formation of the so-called "hybrid democracy"in Russia. The issues of political elites that carry out their activities in the Russian society are considered. The real positions of government institutions and citizens are critically analyzed, which once again confirms the weakness of the development of civil society. Hence, the problems of political participation of citizens are characterized, reflecting the general trends of their distrust of the power structures and doubts about the effectiveness of the latter. Drawing an explanatory model of the social morphology of todays Russia, the author also focuses on the relationship between the city and the countryside. The role of derivatives of crisis trends that have influenced the strengthening of polarization between social groups is noted. The transformations of economic indicators, for example, a sharp increase in private property, changes in the number of people employed in the public sector, which also affected the blurring of class boundaries and the overall formation of social structures, are highlighted.

The article examines the activities of Russian naval intelligence in China in the early twentieth century. After the defeat in the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the Chinese government began in the early twentieth century to implement a program of reviving the navy. The Japanese provide effective support to the Chinese Naval Department in the construction of warships. However, attempts to create a combat-ready Chinese fleet were prevented by the nationwide crisis that unfolded in the country. I must say that China has not been able to claim the role of not only a world, but also a regional naval power. Despite the well-founded fears of the Russian Maritime Ministry, there were no military clashes with China in the early twentieth century on the seas and rivers. At the same time, Russian naval intelligence constantly collected information about the creation of the Chinese fleet and the internal situation in the neighboring state It should be noted that the Russian Naval Ministry in the early twentieth century followed the attempts to create a Chinese fleet, but did not perceive China as the main threat at sea to the foreign policy interests of the Russian Empire.

The article examines the phenomenon of deception, which is often found both in the animal world and, especially, in the framework of human relationships, from the standpoint of the so called praxiological approach, and discusses the "mechanism" that determines the different attitude to the fact of deception-from light condemnation to extreme indignation. The basis of such a "mechanism" is recognized as a characteristic, universal behavioral motivation for a person, which at the mental level acts as a derivative of the relationship that develops between the generalized mental models of the human psyche: the model of the present, the model of the probabilistic future and the model of the necessary future. The article analyzes in detail the concept proposed to explain the difference in modalities in relation to deception and analyzes the corresponding illustrative examples.

In the article, the author shows that in a philosophical analysis of the specifics of the rationality of the humanities, non-classical natural science in general, we are faced with many issues that the classical theory of knowledge did not face, starting with the problem of understanding the truth and ending with the problems of knowing the past and future. Classical science and the classical theory of cognition essentially did not deal with the cognition of time, the peculiarity of the object of social and humanitarian cognition, its inclusion in social reality, there was no understanding of the subject of cognition as a meaning-forming element.

The article shows the gap between the economic success of post-war Japan, associated with the organic combination of traditional elements of management and Western innovations, on the one hand, and its "secondary" role in world politics, due to its dependence on the United States, on the other. Special attention is paid to Japans foreign policy, in particular, the steps towards changing the Constitution, the desire for membership in the UN Security Council, all these facts indicate Japans desire to change its political image, to abandon unilateral Americanization, which has gone too far. However, a new acquisition of geopolitical independence of this country in the current global balance of power seems unlikely.

The article examines the factors of the development of historical, psychological and cultural identity in modern Russia. It is shown that the integrity of the traditional ethnocultural space of the Russian ethnos is characterized by the main parameters - differentiation at the level of ethnically marked objects that define its boundaries, first of all, these are objectified forms of culture: types of settlements, buildings for residential and economic purposes, the organization of interiors, everyday life, complexes of traditional clothing, ritual objects, etc, integration at the level of universal worldview categories, which are a system of interconnected concepts that form the picture of the world of an ethnos - an integral worldview model inherent in a certain type of culture. Reflecting the most general ways of describing the world and modeling the ethnocultural space, they ensure its integrity, finding each component of culture a correspondence to the mentality and picture of the world as a whole.

The article is devoted to the content and prospects of Russian-American relations. The author analyzes the period of the collapse of the Soviet Union. The specifics of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States under George W. Bush, B. Obama, D. Trump and J. Biden are shown. Joint documents and documents adopted by the Russian Federation are considered. In the early 2000s, relations between the two countries improved. Later, the reason for the failure to implement the reset was the diametrically opposite understanding of the strategic goals and objectives of foreign policy by Moscow and Washington in the international arena. The author notes that in recent years, Russian-American relations have been going through the most difficult period since the end of the Cold War. The main reason for the sharp deterioration in relations between Moscow and Washington was the new role of Russia in the world, in solving strategic world problems. The article concludes that relations between Russia and the United States require revision for objective reasons, the resumption of a constructive dialogue on topical issues of contemporary international and bilateral relations.

The article examines the activities of the Russian maritime union in the context of the state policy of the country. After the failure in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 among the upper strata of Russian society there were debates about the possible ways of developing the navy. The Russian Maritime Union initially brought together representatives of the aristocracy, the military and the scientific community. The purpose of this organization was to assist in the revival of the Russian Imperial Navy. Relying on the influence associated with the support of a public organization from the imperial family, the Russian Maritime Union has repeatedly intervened in the budgetary policy of the Russian Naval Ministry. As a result, this public organization managed to have a real impact on the implementation of domestic shipbuilding programs. In addition to shipbuilding programs, scientific projects and new types of military vessels were discussed at the meetings of the Russian Maritime Union. The public organization actively published its own periodical magazine. Members of the Russian Maritime Union discussed the development of the territories of Siberia and the Far East.
