The article analyzes the Russian labour market over the period of the last three years - from 2018 to 2020 it is based on the materials of official state statistics (Rosstat). In the labour sphere of modern Russia, there is a negative dynamics of employment and unemployment, which directly corresponds to the economic crisis, the main factor of which was the coronavirus infection pandemic, which caused numerous diseases and deaths. Against the background of the deteriorating macroeconomic situation, the condition of individual households, represented by workers, is also aggravating, whose employment and wages are under threat and are experiencing additional stress and pressure. If the labour market situation continues to deteriorate further, this may require additional efforts from the government to support the labor market and actions to assist able-bodied citizens who are left without jobs and livelihoods.
