This article examines the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence in education, which initially reduces the effectiveness of traditional methods of developing learning assignments and assessing knowledge. Analysts believe that the modern education system needs to shift its focus from simply reproducing information to cultivating the ability to critically understand material, and instead focus on comparing different positions and arguing ones own conclusions. Skepticism is often linked to age: older people are significantly more likely to note the dangers of declining interest in learning, a decline in independent thinking, and a decline in interpersonal communication. Overall, even with the recognized potential of artificial intelligence and experts actively seeking new educational formats, Russian education is undergoing a gradual transformation. Society still needs to understand that AI does not replace teachers, but is a tool whose usefulness depends on clear principles, a culture of use, and the level of methodological support.
